Screenprinting
Early on in my career I designed shirt graphics. I enjoy learning and like to know how things operate and how they are made. I was curious about the shirts that were being printed and wanted to learn the screenprinting process. Color separations are the first part of the process. Once the colors are separated screens are burned for each color. From there, the screens are lined up on the press with registration marks. After things are lined up the automatic press needs to be programmed to print and flash the ink properly. Each step of the way had its challenges, but it was satisfying to be able to take the design the whole way through from concept to final print.
